Phu Quoc has a special visa exemption policy that allows visitors that arrive via international flights/boats to enter the island without a visa for 30 days. If you intend on leaving Phu Quoc to visit other parts of Vietnam (mainland), or stay longer than 30 days, you must hold a valid Vietnamese visa.

Obtaining a Vietnam Visa is relatively simple and straight forward. Many countries can apply via the E-visa system. (25 USD). If your country of origin is not on the list of applicable countries. You may visit your nearest Vietnamese embassy to apply.

Please apply no later than a month prior to your flight to avoid any inconveniences. We are here to help. if you have any questions please contact us directly.

Weather

December is peak high season. the weather is stunning with sunny skies and a cool breeze. however; do remember that it can be very warm so please pack breezy items. there might be some minimal rain so do pack a rain coat, but most of the time it's perfect for beaches and sea activities.

03

Book early

Resorts and Hotels during December oil up quite fast, especially ones near the wedding venue. Please book your stay as early as you can and visit our "lodging & Stay" page for hotel recommendations.

04

Cash & Payments

Phu Quoc is well connected with majority of the establishments offering debit/credit card payments, Apple Pay and Samsung pay, so you could just come with your card but it's always recommended to have little cash on hand. if you are planing on using your cards most of the trip. We recommend exchanging around 400 USD or 10,000,000 VND just to be safe and remember, you should unlock your cards for international travel before leaving to Vietnam.
